False Arrest, Excessive Force, and Malicious Prosecution

Civil Rights is an important part of our Constitution, which as part of the Civil War Amendments established Section 5 of the Fourteenth Amendment, which permits Congress to pass legislation enabling (enabling clause) the purposes of the amendment.  That legislation is codified as Section 1983.

The statute does not create rights but it does provide for enforcement of those rights that exist in the Constitution of the United States.

We are vigorous supporters of the rights of the accused and of those who have been wrongfully arrested, prosecuted, and who have been injured through excessive force.

We have experience in this area, and have represented many high profile defendants including Brenton L. Butler, the juvenile who was arrested for the murder of a tourist at the Ramada Inn.  You should visit the Videos/Testimonials/Pictures tab on this site and the video of the Montel Williams Show.

These cases are difficult and we screen them very carefully.

If you believe you have a case or want to proceed with one, please click on this site "Do You Have a Case" and send us an email.  We will review your information and then schedule a consultation.
